I.    Objective:

To provide a direct contact instructor to employee formal training program on all selected topics. The training is intended to cover an overview of the hazards a worker may encounter on a job site. It provides training on the recognition, avoidance, abatement and prevention of workplace hazards. The training program also provides overview information regarding OSHA, including workers’ rights and  employer responsibilities. The training emphasizes hazard identification, avoidance, control and prevention, not OSHA regulations. This is intended to help your company meet and exceed your accident free safety goals.

II.    Scope of Training:

A.  Personnel participating in the training program will receive formal training in the classroom from a Authorized OSHA Outreach Instructor and factory certified trained instructor via lecture, discussion and demonstrations on OSHA regulations and ANSI standards that affect workplace hazards and worker safety.

B.  Upon successful completion of this course, each person will receive a valid OSHA 10-Hour Card and a 10-Hour Safety Course Certificate of Completion for each person will be mailed to your company after the completion of the training program.   

The following selected topics will be discussed:

 Mandatory Training Topics – 6 hours (1 hour each topic)

  1. Introduction to OSHA
  2. Electrical Safety
  3. Exit Routes, Emergency Preparedness, Fire Prevention Plans and Fire Protection
  4. Hazard Communication
  5. Personal Protection Equipment – PPE
  6. Walking and Working Surfaces including Fall Prevention

Elective Training Topics – 2 hours (minimum of 2 topics. minimum of .5 hour each)

  1. Bloodborne Pathogens
  2. Ergonomics
  3. Fall Protection
  4. Hazardous Materials
  5. Machine Guarding
  6. Material Handling
  7. Safety and Health Programs

Optional Training Topics – 2 hours ( minimum of .5 hour each)

  1. Active Shooter Awareness and Plan
  2. Company Safety Policies
  3. Confined Spaces
  4. Hearing Conservation
  5. Ladder Safety
  6. Control of Energized Equipment, Lockout – Tagout Program
  7. Mobile Elevating Work Platforms
  8. Powered Industrial Vehicles


III.    Course Length:

This training course will include no less than 10 Hours of instructor contact time.

It will be conducted two separate days with no more than 7.5 hours of class time each day. 2 breaks and lunch on a full day. Lunch will be provided by hosting company.

IV.    Location/Date/Time:

A.   In-House course can be conducted at our Elk Grove Village or Bedford Park, IL locations. Classes are usually conducted from 8am-4pm.

B.   Lunch will be provided for trainees so that training topics can be discussed in an informal atmosphere over lunch.

V.    Training materials:

A.  The training instructor will supply the audio/visual equipment, presentations, handouts and/or training manuals for each participant.

B.  We provide clean, comfortable, dedicated training rooms for all of our formal classroom training, any required equipment for demonstrations and/or any required student exercises.

VI.    Expenses:

A.   The standard charge for this training class is $1750.00 for up to 10 attendee’s. This cost pays for the training, training manual and lunch.

B.   Each person attending over the initial 10 will be charged $175.00 per person.

C.   Discounts are available to organizations with large groups or multiple classes.
